Did you know that Marilyn Monroe was one of the first Hollywood stars to have her teeth enhanced with veneers? Aesthetics plays a major part in our company and are an important factor for our well-being. A flawless smile is synonymous with health, youth and vitality, as well as strength, intelligence, competence, balance and credibility.
Professional dental aesthetics
How pleasant other people find your smile is to do with the smile line. That is the part of the teeth that is visible when smiling. Aesthetic dentistry offers options to change a negative smile line into a positive one. Attractive white teeth, healthy gums and the functional harmony of the two rows of teeth: aesthetics and function are closely connected with professional dental aesthetics.
Your dentist and their team can assess oral health and the condition of the teeth professionally. Dental professionals are not only concerned with repairing damage but also with prophylaxis and cosmetic dentistry. Chipped tooth edges and prominently tilted or heavily stained teeth can be corrected using veneers. We also provide tooth whitening.
OUR ADVICELet us advise you in matters of dental aesthetics, for dental cosmetics belong in professional hands.
Bleaching – radiant white teeth thanks to professional tooth whitening
Would you like a perfect radiant smile? Then your dentist is the person to speak to. Before we proceed with tooth whitening, there are a few preparatory steps to be taken.
Bleaching
How we proceed
After professional teeth cleaning, a mild bleach is applied
This penetrates into the tooth enamel and transforms the unwanted pigments into colourless substances
Professional processes intensify this effect using LED
Care after bleaching
In order for your teeth to remain white after bleaching, the right tooth care and diet are important. For the first three days after bleaching, we recommend a so-called “white diet”. You simply exclude coloured foods, such as:
- beetroot, carrots,
- tomatoes, spinach,
- coffee, tea, Cola, red wine,
- berries, cherries and grapes
Home bleaching – be careful with over-the-counter products and home remedies
Bleaching strips, bleaching splints and tooth whitening pens. There are many over-the-counter products for tooth whitening. Tooth creams and whitening gels do not compare with professional bleaching and they carry risks. If the gel comes into contact with mucous membranes or is swallowed, this may lead to gum irritations or burns, damage to the dental nerve, and injuries to the oesophagus and stomach.
When it comes to home remedies: they are best avoided! Baking powder, lemon, salt - there is barely anything that permanently damages the teeth more.
Veneers –an attractive façadefor your teeth
Veneers are extremely thin layers made of ceramic which your dentist fixes to the prepared tooth surfaces. They are made by a dental technician and designed according to the wishes of the patient. We match the shape and colour of the veneers individually according to the bite. The result is perfect and looks completely natural.
Options for veneers
- Tooth enhancements
- Small corrections for crooked teeth
- To even out different tooth sizes, for example for conical teeth
- Closing small gaps in teeth
- Receding gums
- Discoloured teeth
Good to know
Unsightly fillings made of amalgam, which may be harmful to health, can be exchanged for tooth-coloured ceramic inlays. Crowns made completely of ceramic or zircon enable perfect and natural dental aesthetics without your teeth having to be highly polished.
Do you have anyquestions on the topicof aesthetics?
You will find answers to the most frequently asked questions here.
Discolouration occurs when darker coloured molecules are deposited on the surface of the tooth, for example, when you drink coffee, tea or red wine. Discolouration can also set in internally due to medications, illnesses, tooth damage or root fillings.
These toothpastes are too aggressive and the teeth do not tend to become whiter. Teeth should only be bleached under dental supervision.
Veneers are suitable for concealing a variety of flaws on the teeth, for example misshapen or crooked teeth, gaps in the teeth, stained-looking, heavily worn or broken or chipped teeth.
Very important: the teeth and gums have to be healthy and there should be no damage from decay. There must also be a normal bite. Veneers do not tend to be suitable for those who grind or press their teeth together at night.
